Chérie

Chérie became a mother young. Knowing she had a lot to learn about raising a child, she went looking for answers in early childhood education — and found her calling. What began as a young mother teaching herself became a lifelong teaching career.

Over the years she has taught in Montessori, Waldorf and play-based schools. She has also worked as an infant photographer and an art teacher, and has run a small apothecary whenever life made room for it.

Through all of it, her remedies have been at the heart of how our family cares for itself. Tucked among her school materials and teaching supplies is a seemingly endless stack of apothecary books, recipes and handwritten notes. For years she has studied traditional natural remedies from European, Eastern and Egyptian traditions.

As a teacher and a mother, Chérie brings that same care to everyone who comes to her. She listens first, explains what she is doing and why, and is always willing to adjust when something isn’t quite right.
